Truckstop/Crop Up

Truckstop/Crop Up Greytown is a pop-up family gathering space for dining and entertainment behind the Blackwell and Sons Workshop at 102 Main Street. Conceived by local businessman Adam Blackwell at the end of 2021, it quickly took off with local families, super-fans coming every week, and tourists all sitting down together, sharing food, drinks and music in a very happy, informal atmosphere.

Truckstop Winter Edition is back on Friday and Saturday nights throughout the festival.

This little hub of tasty goodness gives great dining for the whole family, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Main Street. Every weekend, Dale Keith will be serving up his famous smashed burgers, Mao & Co will bring the zing with their delicious Asian street food, and Goodtimes really do make times good with flash flatbreads that pack a flavour punch. This year, in the ‘sweet spot’ corner, Mrs Blackwell will be selling New York-style cookies.

Truckstop will also be the official festival central station for mulled wine! Grab a bite, a mulled wine and cosy up next to the brazier, trucker style!

Festival of Christmas Schedule:

Opening night: Saturday 27 June 3pm-8pm

Week two: Friday 3 July and Saturday 4 July

Week three: Thursday 9 July (Matariki) - note this EXTRA night! Friday 10 July and Saturday 11 July

Week four: Friday 17 July and Saturday 18 July

Final week: Friday 24 July and Saturday 25 July (Closing night of Festival)

Crop Up has now closed for the 2025/2026 Summer season.
