Have you met Ruru, our festival mascot?

Ruru the Morepork is our gorgeous little mascot for 2026. Add your own piece of art to the festival, and decorate a ruru cut out and hang it on the Community Christmas Tree. It’s located in the courtyard at Max Edridge Piazza on Main Street.

Collect your Ruru at any of the following locations:

• Greytown library

• The Offering Cafe, Greytown

• The White Swan, Greytown

NZ Festival of Christmas Colouring in competition

Pick up a colouring competition at any of the following eateries in Greytown, and return it to any of the same locations, to go in the draw.

• The White Swan, The Offering, Aperitif, Main Street Deli, Cuckoo Pizza, Kokodeli, and Meeneez

When you enter into the promotion, you accept these Conditions of Entry and Competition Rules.

• Eligible entrants must not be aged 13 years or older on 29 July 2026.

• Family members of business owners are not able to enter.

• To enter, a completed colouring-in competition form must be handed in to one of the venues listed above, and the entrant will compete to win that venue’s prize. e.g., an entry form handed in at The White Swan is entering the competition to win a $25 voucher at The White Swan.

• Multiple entries are acceptable, but each must be made as a separate entry.

• The judge’s decision will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

• There will be two prizes awarded within each age category from each of the venues:
  • up to 7 years of age
  • 8 – 12 years of age

• A judge, appointed at each of the venues (The White Swan, The Offering, Main Street Deli, Cuckoo Pizza, Kokodeli, Meeneez), will choose a winner and runner-up in each age category for the best use of design and creativity.

• Winners will be selected by 29 July 2026.

• The prizes from each venue are:

  • A $25 voucher from The White Swan (2 for children up to 7 years, 2 for 8 – 12 years)

  • A $20 voucher from The Offering (1 for children up to 7 years, 1 for 8 - 12 years)

  • A kid’s pizza from Cuckoo Pizza (2 for children up to 7 years, 2 for 8 – 12 years)

  • A $10 voucher from Main Street Deli (2 for children up to 7 years, 2 for 8 – 12 years)

  • Kokodeli -Small Kokodeli hamper (2 for children up to 7 years, 2 for 8 – 12 years)

  • Meeneez - Free Gelato (2 for children up to 7 years, 2 for 8 – 12 years)

• Winners will be contacted by phone or email. If we are unable to contact the winner (using contact details provided on the entry form) after trying several times over 7 days, the venue can choose another winner.

• Vouchers/prizes from the venues will be valid until 1 November 2026.
