Simplicity
Simplicity Restaurant - located in the heart of the village lives up to its name with a refined yet relaxed take on modern dining. Warm up your winter wander with a sip of nostalgia with their Apple Pie Cinnamon Cocktail, which is everything you love about dessert — in a glass. Think crisp apple, a kiss of spice, and a smooth, soul-soothing finish. It’s sweet, spiced, and just strong enough to keep the chill at bay. Perfect for fireside sipping or a festive night out during the Greytown Festival of Christmas.
As for food, Simplicity is serving up a cosy, crowd-pleasing winter menu perfect for a night out at the Festival of Christmas. Warm up with a generous cup of soup served alongside two slices of lightly toasted focaccia, or indulge in smoked beef brisket croquettes with a rich barbecue dipping sauce. For something to take away, grab a punnet of crispy chips with tomato sauce, or go all in with the ever-popular seafood basket — a golden selection of deep-fried seafood served with chips and tartare. Simple, delicious, and made to be enjoyed inside or on the go.
The Offering
Their much-loved Egg Nog returns — rich, creamy, and spiced just right, available in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions. For those after something more traditional, the mulled wine is a festival staple, gently heated and infused with cinnamon, cloves, citrus and a touch of sweetness — a perfect companion for crisp winter evenings.
What’s that sound? Crunch! Snap! Sticky fingers and big smiles. These festival faves start with crisp apples, dipped in shiny toffee that cracks just right with every bite. The perfect handheld treat for frosty nights, twinkly lights, and a bit of winter fun. Warning: may cause happy dancing and sugar highs! Keep an eye open for some extra pimping… you just don’t know what Mr O will do.
The hand-crafted sausages (aka ‘Dogs’) are made just next door by the award-winning Greytown Butchery, each one seasoned with our own secret herb & spice blend to bring out the best in every bite. Each Funky Dog is served in a soft pretzel bun, packed w. crisp two-cabbage slaw, topped with house-made relish, zesty mustard just like when we were kids, and a side of fries to round it out. Now the fun part — pick your Dog of choice!
Adding to the festivities, for one night only on Friday 4 July, The Offering is bringing back the Great Toastie Takeover with their bold winter entry: Rudolph’s Reuben — a rich, comforting venison toastie that captures the spirit of the season in every bite.
For flavour, fun, and festive cheer, The Offering is the place to be this winter.
