Easter in Greytown

Easter is upon us which means school holidays, a long weekend for all, traditionally warm autumn weather, lots of chocolate, relaxation with family and of course a visit to Greytown Village. We can’t wait to see you. Here are some ‘must dos’ in Greytown this Easter.

Ultimate Easter Indulgence

Schoc Chocolates is the ultimate Easter indulgence. More than just eggs, they have something for everyone with a wide variety of Easter treats. From their Easter tablet which tastes of hot cross buns, marshmallow eggs made the old fashioned way and chocolate bunnies and eggs of all shapes & sizes, to their Schocolart eggs which are hand painted by their chocolatiers like a piece of edible art, perfect for those wanting a bit of luxury. Schoc Chocolates is a must see this Easter. Purchase online or instore.

Bunnies for Easter & Beyond

It’s bunnies galore at Hall, where these gorgeous candle holders have just arrived in-store. Whether he’s sitting or standing, Mr. Melvin Rabbit is a wonderful addition to your home for Easter and beyond! Hall also stocks big bestseller Harold the Hare, and a lovely new range of bunny toys for the little ones.

National Tweed Ride Ready to Roll Easter Saturday

Tweed and bicycles will be the order of the day in Greytown on Easter Saturday, 16 April, courtesy of the popular National Tweed Ride.

It’s a terrific spectator sport so be sure to see the riders in their best pressed Tweed. The 2022 route trundles around the west side of Greytown from 1pm with a Spectator Map detailing best places to see the riders available here. Top spots to watch are the Ride start at 1pm on West St by the public carpark on the corner of Hastwell and West Streets and later, having trundled around pretty streets and country roads close to town, the riders will be on the home strait, coming around the corner of North St /West St approximately 2.45 – 3pm.

Be Inspired at Designer Clothing Gallery

Put on a Salasai chocolate dress and an Ilse Jacobsen rabbit fur vest for an Easter Egg Hunt around the country roads of Greytown this Easter.  Come in and look through the racks or be inspired by the styling wall at Designer Clothing Gallery, where you can put together, with help from their in-store stylists, a simple wardrobe of 5–7 pieces giving 15–20 looks.

This boutique is an absolute treat and should be included in any shopping trip.

Best Hot Cross Buns

We hear you, you want to know where you can find the best Hot Cross Buns in Greytown Village? Easy, look no further than the famous French Baker. Bursting with traditional currents and spice, you can't pass up one (or two) with your morning coffee.

If you are the run, pop into Fresh Choice.  Their soft, fluffy hot cross buns fresh from the bakery have loads of currents and are not too spicy, great for the kids. Best enjoyed heated with plenty of butter.
