Our 2025 mid-winter Christmas celebrations are all wrapped up, with a big happy bow.

Oh yes, while most were hibernating through the heart of winter, Greytown came alive with lights, laughter, and a whole lot of warm mid-winter magic. Our 2025 Festival was a month-long celebration of festive food, glowing streets, buzzing night markets, creative workshops, live entertainment, and yes, even snow.

Rain or shine, the fun rolled on. We kicked things off with Illumination, a magical walk of light through Cobblestones, and turned up the energy with a pop-up nightclub and a pop-up movie theatre. The Light-up Tractor and Truck Parade lit up Main Street with dozens of glowing, decorated beauties and has now become a true crowd favourite.

Families rode the antique carousel, foodies feasted on winter treats by the open fire, sipping mulled wine and hot chocolate, and our workshops (think lanterns, candles, wreaths, chocolate and more) brought the creative spirit to life.

And in the midst of it all, we even managed to pick up a wee trophy for the most vibrant event in the Wellington Region, at the 2025 Gold Awards.

A massive thank you to everyone who made this year’s festival possible;  our generous businesses, sports teams, volunteers, charity groups and community organisations and above all, the Festival sponsors and donors. A heartfelt shout-out to the 300+ amazing individuals who donated via Givealittle to help keep the festival free and accessible to all.
